Franz Oberhauser
is a high ranking member of SPECTRE and the main villain of the 2015 James Bond film Spectre in which he was played by Austrian actor Christoph Waltz.

Film biography Edit

Background Edit

Little is known about his early life, only that he's probably has some sort of Austrian heritage. He also mentions being part of a squadron with Mr. White and Hans Oberhauser during the Cold War. When the war ended, he became a recluse, later being recruited by SPECTRE. He assumes the identity of Franz Oberhauser and worked his way up to 'No.2' and head of extortion.

Scheme Edit

Oberhauser's scheme involved the theft of a hard drive containing vital information regarding global survillence to which SPECTRE would use to assist in continuing their terrorist attacks, which would strive against governments.

  • The character's surname was taken from the Ian Fleming novel and short-story Octopussy from the book Octopussy and the Living Daylights.
  • Franz is the not the character's real name as we learn that he stole the identity of Oberhauser to get close to Bond.
